Why I'm Sending 80+ Emails This Black Friday šŸ‘€

Hey, it's Victor from Obzia.

Black Friday is coming up fast.

And on that single day, I'll be sending 80+ emails across my clients.

That might sound crazy, but here's the thing…

If you're not ramping up your email volume during your Black Friday sale, you're leaving too much money on the table.

Keep reading for my advice on how to capitalize on demand in these next few weeks.

Send Daily During Black Week

Most brands stick to their normal email schedule during the biggest sales week of the year.

That's an obvious mistake.

When your sale is live, and it’s Black Week, you should be sending at least one email per day.

Minimum.

Why? Because your subscribers are actively shopping. They're comparing deals. They're ready to buy.

If you're only showing up 2-3 times that entire week, you're invisible compared to brands that are showing up daily with fresh angles, flashy emails, and good reminders.

Black Friday Itself? Go Even Harder

On Black Friday specifically, you should be sending 2-4 emails depending on how aggressive you want to be.

Here’s what that will look like for some of our clients:

2 emails (conservative approach):

  • Email 1: Shop our Black Friday Sale!

  • Email 2: Don't miss Black Friday savings

3 emails (fits most brands):

  • Email 1: Shop our Black Friday Sale!

  • Email 2: Don't miss Black Friday savings

  • Email 3: Final hours of our biggest deals (plain text email)

4 emails (for aggressive brands with lots of traffic):

  • Email 1: Shop our Black Friday Sale!

  • Email 2: Black Friday Gift Guide

  • Email 3: Stock is running low, don't miss out!

  • Email 4: Final hours of our biggest deals (plain text email)

The key is matching your volume to your brand's size, your brand’s image, and how engaged your list is.

And exclude anyone who already purchased that day, so they're not getting hit with the same offer over and over.

Why This Works

Black Friday is the one day where people expect more emails.

They're hunting for deals.

They're checking their inbox constantly.

They want to be reminded about your sale before it ends or before items sell out.

My Favorite Email of the Day

Subject line: Kitsch Holiday Gift Guides are HERE šŸŽ

The brand: Kitsch

My thoughts: Good example of how you can send a fresh and interesting email during your Black Friday sale, instead of just pushing your offer. Plus, it’s the perfect season for gift guides, even if you only sell a couple of products, so don’t sleep on them!

Best of luck this Black Friday!

Until next time,
Victor from Obzia
